Criterion to apply:

1. A 250-word essay (minimum) explaining why you want a career in the field you are applying for and what your future goals are pursuing your chosen career. Please include any activities, work experience, training, groups, organizations, or community service you may have participated in.
2. Must be on a current Tropicana Properties Lease
3. Must begin classes within 90 days of receiving scholarship
4. Must be proficient in reading and writing English
5. Must meet admission requirements of his/her field of study. Please review course catalog on westerntech.edu

Please note that the scholarship covers tuition costs only and is paid directly to Western Tech College through the Paso Del Norte Community Foundation. Recipients will be responsible for expenses such as books, tools, and lab fees. Scholarship recipients are also required to provide Tropicana Properties with interviews and program updates during their scholarship period and after graduation and must attend the scholarship award ceremony.
