1. Pots and Pans

Sure, you have a sweet new kitchen that comes fully equipped with a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, and dishwasher. But you are planning on eating anything other than microwave ready meals, you are going to need some pots and pans! You do not have to break the bank to get them either. Start small, with a pot and a pan. You can add to your collection in the future.

2. Cleaning Supplies

Keep your new pad shiny and clean! Make sure to read that back of all cleaning supplies before you use them on surfaces and floors. Its easy to stay prepared if you are stocked with some dish soap and kitchen cleaner. Since all the apartments at Tropicana Properties are tiled throughout each unit, it’s a good idea to have a mop and bucket too.

3. Bath Essentials

Though you will not be living in your bathroom, you need to know that it is just as an important room in your apartment as the others. Towels, shower curtains and liners and toilet paper are the first things to add to your new bathroom

4. Furniture

Its always nice to have a place to sit when you come home from along day of work. If you are working from, you should have some furniture that allows you to be productive. Many new apartment renters either save up to buy furniture, shop at secondhand stores, or can score furniture for cheap from friends and family.

5. Food

It is a no brainer. We all must eat. However, if you are starting off at your first place, you will learn that going out to eat can add up quickly. It is a good idea to put your supplied refrigerator with freezer to use. Stock up on essentials. Fill your pantry with canned good and dried good. Learning how to cook does not have to be intimidating either. There are many videos online that can teach you how to cook simple and affordable.
